Kenaikan Pangkat Media Prima: Prestasi Atau Simpati?
Media Prima Berhad (“MPB” or “the Group”), Malaysia’s largest integrated media group today announced several key senior management appointments within the Group effective 19 November 2013. These appointments are:
Datuk Ahmad A. Talib, aged 62, will assume the role of Group Advisor, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) tasked to spearhead the Group?s CSR initiatives in line with MPB’s business objectives. He will focus on the Group’s CSR activities and initiatives, thus relinquishing his editorial responsibilities.
Datuk Shaharudin Abd. Latif, aged 55, is appointed as Director, News and Editorial Operations MPB, succeeding Datuk Ahmad A. Talib. He will lead the news and editorial operations across the Group assuming the role vacated by Datuk Ahmad A. Talib. Prior to this new appointment, Datuk Shaharudin was the Group Managing Editor, News and Current Affairs, MPB Television Networks.
Datuk Mohd Ashraf Abdullah, aged 46, is promoted to the role of Group Managing Editor, News and Current Affairs, Television Networks succeeding Datuk Shaharudin. Prior to this appointment, Datuk Mohd Ashraf was the Deputy Group Managing Editor, News and Current Affairs, MPB Television Networks.
Datuk Manja Ismail, aged 52, has been re-designated to the position of Deputy Group Managing Editor, News and Current Affairs, Television Networks succeeding Datuk Mohd Ashraf. Datuk Manja was previously Group Editor, News and Current Affairs, MPB Television Networks
Dato’ Zainul Arifin Mohammed Isa, aged 51, has been re-designated as Chief Executive Officer, Media Prima Digital and will oversee the operations of MPB’s digital media units. Prior to this appointment, Dato’ Zainul was the Chief Operating Officer for Media Prima Digital.

Walaupun ramai yang kecewa dengan prestasi MPB, khususnya sewaktu PRU, sebab kabel mereka kuat, maka dapatlah mereka mengekalkan kedudukan masing-masing.
