‘Brothers, I Have Already Won 2.0’
“If you heard the arguments of my lawyers; if you heard the arguments of the UMNO lawyer – brothers, I have already won!”
Earlier when speaking outside the courthouse, the opposition leader said he was impressed with the panel of judges, who hardly interrupted the hearings.
Even so, Anwar’s criticisms of Shafee Abdullah were less than flattering, with him saying the lead prosecutor’s submissions ran off course.
“In Shafee’s submissions, he didn’t answer the main question raised by my lawyers.
“When asked where the other DNA came from, he kept saying, ‘Maybe Dr. Osman, Dr. Osman is a big possibility’.”
BN Patut Ucap TERIMA KASIH Kepada Owner Malay Mail (Kenapa Anwar Perlu Layanan Istimewa???)
The sudden increase in judicial efficiency and swiftness to dispose
off all matters relating to Anwar’s appeal the week before 11 March,
nomination day for the Kajang by-election, certainly is unprecedented
and raises serious questions on its independence and fairness.
The series of speedy events are as follows:
– the case management for the Public Prosecutor’s appeal against Anwar
was heard on 28 February where the court set a very short date on 6
and 7 March for full hearing of the appeal despite the defence
lawyers’ protestation that they were not available;
– these appeal dates were fixed despite the fact that 3 March had been
fixed for hearing of Anwar’s third application to disqualify prominent
Umno lawyer Shafee Abdullah from leading the prosecution team;
– and 4 March had also been fixed to hear Anwar’s application/appeal
at the Federal Court to recall Investigating Officer Jude Pereira as a
witness.
This peculiar and hasty pattern continued when Anwar’s defence filed
an application to stay the proceeding on the morning of 5 March which
was promptly heard and dismissed on the same day – again, highly
unusual.
Memang banyak yang tak kena dengan pemilik Malay Mail. Ada orang kata,
Malay Mail ada lesen besar. Buat apa pun, PMO tidak akan marah. Kawan
lama. Soalnya, kalau kawan dah semakin besar kepala dan menjahanam
kerajaan, masih layak digelar kawan?
Anwar. Tak lebih dan tak kurang. Pergi jahanam sama itu YB lama yang
hanya mahu cari duit.
Kes Sodomi memang patut diselesaikan seawal mungkin. Anwar bersalah
atau tidak itu soal lain. Kalau tidak bersalah, OK, kita terima.
Macamana rakyat terima Anwar bebas 901. No problem.
Soalnya, kalau bersalah, macamana pulak penyokong Anwar akan respons?
Demonstrasi? Reformasi? Revolusi?
Anwar tidak perlu layanan istimewa. Di hadapan mahkamah, Anwar adalah
Anwar Bin Ibrahim. Mudah. Tidak ada keistimewaan. Ketua Pembangkang?
Itu tidak ada kena mengena.
Apapun, tahniah kepada Malay Mail yang terus sabotaj parti dengan jayanya.
